Steaming the face is the best way to thoroughly deep clean your pores, to get rid of pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. Steaming your face is very important to loosen debris that may be embedded into the skin.

Boil a pan of water and after few minutes or when the water starts to boil remove the pan from the stove. Stand directly over the steam and drape a small towel over your head for keeping the steam from escaping because it will be more effective in opening the clogged pores. Stay in this position for 3-15 minutes (yes, you have very flexible timing when doing this) and rinse the face with lukewarm water afterwards. You can steam your face twice a week without worries - it won鈥檛 harm your skin.
I had the same issue as you last year. :( it sucks, but here's some ways to help.

-don't touch your face with your hands at all. and wash your hands as much as possible.

-if you use make up, clean your make up brushes

-wash your face twice a day with a good acne wash. neutrogena works well.

-don't pick

-steam your face with boiling water about twice a week.

-if you can go out and buy it, its about 8$, try neutrogena spot treatment. and just put it on your effected areas before bed. the product promises results in 8 hours. its the only spot treatment i use

-wash your pillowcase

-keep your hair away from your face when your sleeping. pin your bangs back so it wont get on your face

- after working out or gym class, since your sweating, try to wash your face as soon as possible.

hope this works :)
Each one has its own opinion and different method of treatment - some genuine, some weird and whacky but very few work. The problem lies in your genes and hormones and your way of living.

Best would be to consult a doctor. He could give you honest advice and some medication or precaution, or simple explanation as he sees fit.
water definitely wont work. to keep your skin not oily take a dryer sheet and blot your face whenever necessary. i know it sounds crazy but it works. also wash your face with a good acne wash each morning.
